All your website files should be uploaded within www directory. Any files uploaded outside www directory wont be accessible through web. You should put your Ms-Access database or any sensitive files containing your passwords or secured code in database directory. Files uploaded in this directory can be accessed by your application using system path, howeber they cant be accessed through web, thus providing additional security. Upload files using FTP
